Amber Doors recently
carried out a refurbishment project for Imperial Commercials in Derby, helping
them to save a considerable amount of money.
We were able to
replace the top and bottom tracks for a horizontal sliding folding door, as
well as refurbishing the door itself. Before approaching Amber Doors, the
customer had been wrongly advised that refurbishment would not be possible and
they would require a complete replacement door. This would have cost the
customer in excess of £15,000! However, our experienced team quickly advised
that the existing door could be repaired and new top and bottom tracks could be
installed, allowing the door to function as it should.
At Amber Doors, we understand the importance of causing as
little disruption as possible to our customers as any downtime can potentially
be extremely costly. In order to allow Imperial Commercials to continue trading
throughout the refurbishment project, we were able to carry out the necessary
repairs in two phases.
As 50% of the 10m
wide X 6m high folding door was open at all times, we were able to complete all
work whilst causing only the absolute minimal amount of disruption to the
customer.
In order to install new bottom tracks for the sliding
folding door, we first had to remove the existing concrete holding the tracks in
place using a breaker. The replacement tracks were then set in new concrete.
