Amber Doors - It's no accident they chose us!

Amber Doors were recently commissioned to install a new set of telescopic doors to the Accident & Emergency admissions area at Watford General Hospital.

With such an important area to work in we set about ensuring the job was done speedily, efficiently and effectively - and with no fuss. Patient care was our top priority and to keep disruption to a minimum our friendly staff carried out the installation throughout the night.

Our remit was to match up the doors with some that were already in place as part of a wider extension project. Here are the before and after pictures:

With such a high footfall, the automatic doors needed to be robust, safe and hard working. Our doors fully meet all industry standards and this project was no exception.

The automatic doors were also fitted with full safety sensors for the safe and reliable operation of the door. This is important at any time of course, but especially when many of those using the entrance are vulnerable or in pain.

With hospitals under such financial pressure, it was important that the Watford A&E department work came in on time and we are delighted to report that our doors were manufactured and installed within the time frames requested by the hospital.

The Mighty Mikes Take On The Blues, With A Bit Of Help From Amber Doors

Amber Doors are excited to announce that Boldmere St Michaels U9s football team will be taking on the impressive U8s team from the Birmingham City Academy at an end of season friendly on Friday 22 May 2015.

We’ve proudly sponsored the Mikes for their first season and have closely followed their development – from impressive wins against other skilled teams, to the inevitable occasional lose or draw.  Some of the boys from the team had played together at a previous club, but this season has seen a brand new line up, and they’ve worked extremely hard to establish their roles and positions within the team.

The Amber Doors logo is prominently displayed both on the back of the boys’ training jackets which are worn both to matches as well as to twice weekly training sessions, as well as on a large hoarding board at the Boldmere St Michaels football stadium.  We fully support local businesses getting involved with their community, and grassroots football is something which we are passionate about.

We’re looking forward to hearing all about the big match against the Blues later in the month, which will be a real test of skill for these 10 cheeky chappies:
